Segments identify and classify visitors based on their behavior and characteristics.
About segments
View your segments
- Click Journey > Segments.
Create a segment
- Click Journey > Segments.
- Click Create Segment.
- Use a descriptive name.
- Define at least one of the following:
- Specify the color.
- To activate the segment, click the Active toggle so it is green.
Important
You can specify as many segment attributes and journey pattern conditions as you want. You must specify at least one.Segment attribute example
Segment attributes identify visitors based on characteristics like location, browser, device type, and so on.
Tip
If you want to match based on a non-numeric criteria, such as the name of a browser, select the like or not like operator. Journey pattern example
Edit a segment
- Click Journey > Segments.
- Click the name of the segment you want to edit.
- Update the segment attributes.
- Update the journey pattern.
- Click Submit.
Delete a segment
Delete a segment when you no longer need it.
