Segments identify and classify visitors based on their behavior and characteristics.

Prerequisites
Configure the following permissions in PureCloud:

  • Journey > Segment >Add , Delete, Edit, View permissions

About segments

In Genesys Predictive Engagement aNo results represents a group of customers who share some characteristic or who all behave the same way on your website.

View your segments

  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Altocloud, click Segments.
Tip
Search for a segment by its name or description. Search is case-insensitive.

Create a segment

  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Altocloud, click Segments.
  3. Click Create Segment.
  4. Use a descriptive name.
  5. Define at least one attribute.
  6. Specify the color.
  7. To make the segment active, leave the Active setting green.
  8. Click Save and close.
Important
You can specify as many visitor attributes and visitor journey conditions as you want. You must specify at least one.

Deactivate a segment

Deactivate a segment when you no longer need it.

  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Altocloud, click Segments.
  3. Click the name of the segment you want to deactivate.
  4. Click the Active toggle so it is gray.
  5. Click Submit.
Important
Do not delete segments.
