|Content=Before we fixed this issue, we set Postgres statement timeout assigning “set statement_timeout” to “Pre/Post Statements” > “ Report Pre Statement 1” VLDB property of DB Instance. It turned out that if this VLDB property is set then Microstrategy, when showing report prompts page, created a separate DB session for every prompt to populate its elements list. Id damaged performance. We dropped this VLDB property and now we set statement timeout via Postgres JDBC URL instead. The the URL will contain a “-cstatement_timeout=180000” part. The effect will take place after the 1st installation/update of GCXI v. 1.0.032.000.We recommend always have a statement timeout set for Postgres, otherwise it’s possible to overload this DB.
